Hello,

I want to add homing switches to my X2 and I would like to see some pictures showing how others have physically mounted them. I've spent well over an hour searching without success. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I have mechanical micro-switches with a roller at the end of the arm.

Thanks,

Rob

Thanks Hoss,

I like the internal switches, but I don't feel like disassembling my mill right now. Maybe later when I add a one-shot oiler.

BTW, I found your limit and home switches video and it was helpful. I've also thought up some ideas on my own for mounting them and keeping them clean. Only I'm too tired from pushing the mower for two hours to go work in my shop tonight. laugh

I have my home switchs installed but I'm not sure what kind of wiring to use, I have some shielded double twisted pair wire (4 conductors and a drain)but it is really stiff, I noticed in your videos that you were using speaker wire, do you experience any problems with it, I'm worried about electrical noise. I'm running Mach3 and the G540 (along with one of your kits, Thank you very much), do you think I could use speaker wire and put a .01uf capacitor at the sw and be ok?
Thanks and Thanks again for the kit and all the info/inspiration you give out.

shielded wire is pretty commonly used, that should work fine.
