Hey Hoss I remember you where playing around with one (laptop) a while back. I was wondering if you got it to work with a cnc after changing some of the power saving settings. Anyways if you can let me know or anyone else that would be great. I can pick one up cheap, just wondering if i should.
Thanks, Mike

Hey Mike, Hoss, I have tried to run Mach on notebooks and I had a bit of luck. It's seemed to run all right on some Dell notebooks. Here's link to a fellow who got it to work with a little Dell. http://www.mini-lathe.com/kx3/kx3-2.htmI tried it with other notebooks like Panasonic Toughbooks and it wouldn't work. I've been told that the computers that use shared memory with the video chip have problems with timing so Mach won't work. There is a little program in Mach called "Driver Test" that I've used to see if it will run at all. I've been told that it ran well on IBM notebooks but I haven't tried one. Good luck, Tex
