Hoss,
I have an isolated probe and the table is ground. I tried to hook up the probe as you show it but as soon as I touch the lead to the table, Mach3 resets and all the LEDs on my C1 board go out. I am hooking the lead to ground terminal of the board. It's the only one marked. I must be doing something wrong. Any help would be appreciated. Great web sight, who would think a little Mill could do so much.

Sounds like you are shorting out your board.
try reversing the wires.

Thanks Hoss,
I found out that if I hooked up the probe with the 2.2k resistor and left off the ground, it worked. That would be just like the diagram you made without the ground lead. I can find xyz but have not tried corners or inside/outside diameters.
