Fisrt off Hi all and Happy new Year
Iv just got my first CNC mill up and running after a lot of problems. The machine is a Denford Traic i removed every thing apart from the motors and started over. But this is my problem i cant seem to get parts coming out the same size or should i say the right size. Iv done the steps per what ever set up in Mach and it comes out at about 200 and some things steps is this to high to low. What i can tell you is the the dip switchs on my drives that set the step are not set to any thing that is on the side of them. So im more than willing to change that but what would be a good step number to start at.
My Screws have if any backlass at all ( the machine was like new when i got it) The screws are on belts to the motors at about 2 x 1 can some one may be point me the right way with this info.
I must say im not great with spelling but ill do my best for you all and i like this forum because its small the bigger ones are just so much hard work there is to much to take in

Hey stumpy, you should run the Mach 3 Axis Calibration, it will almost set your machine up for you. Hoss
