Hi, Your site is great, I have spent hours looking at your work. I am just getting into CNC (I know only what I have read on web). Step one is purchase 3D CAD software. Can you recommend one? There are several obvious choices but I cannot spend thousands just because I want to "see how it works". I would not be apposed to a couple hundred but that is probably max. I found a G code simulator on line and plan on using that to learn the basics once I can create designs. Once I prove to myself I can get past that I will purchase a mill and learn to convert to CNC.

I have a few listed on my links page, I have Alibre, it goes on sale now and again, was actually $99 this past summer. You can spend $1000's you're right for good ones like Rhino CAD. You can find some free ones listed here. http://freeware.intrastar.net/cadsoftware.htmGoogle SketchUp is popular. Hoss
