hoss, I got the mill running with no problems now just tuning the accel and veloc for the motors. Any insight to an easy way to do it?

I'd start with a Velocity of 50 and an Accel of 4. Save the setting and jog the axis end to end. if it runs smooth without hearing the telltale buzzing/grinding sound of missed steps, increase the Velocity by 10-20 and repeat. Keep going until you hear the noise then back off to the previous setting and you should be good to go. Each machine is different, the gib tightness, table and fixture mass will increase friction which will affect what you get peak at. Higher Accel settings can let you get a slightly higher rapid rate but you'll notice it starts and stops gradually so actual axis stop to stop time could actually be less. Hoss
